Each Wednesday I'll share a tip to make your week go more smoothly or just make you say "aha!"
Too many mushrooms? Before they go bad, puree them with some water or broth. Pour the mixture into ice cube trays and freeze. Mushroom cubes are great for adding flavor to soups, sauce, or gravy.
I like to fry my mushie surplus with onions (no salt) until browned and a bit dry. Then I freeze them on a tray, break them up when frozen and keep in a ziplock bag. Just scoop out what you need for a meal. I think I will try your method as well. Can never have too many mushies on hand. ;)

I dehydrate extra mushrooms. I make dry mixes for dips, soups, etc. with mushrooms and other dehydrated veggies & herbs.
